USDA's AMS released its final decision on Federal Milk Marketing Order pricing reforms on 12 November, which matches the July proposal. The changes update milk composition factors, raising the true protein factor from 3.1 to 3.3 percent and other solids from 5.9 to 6 percent.
The reforms slightly shift regulated minimum prices between regions, with the net effect on producer milk checks expected to be neutral or positive, so the impact on prices is modest.
