NOPA reported August soybean crush of 205.456 million bushels, an 11-month low and below the trade estimate of 211.6 million. December soybean meal reached a 2.5-year high of $371.30 before settling at $358.60 on the week, while December bean oil fell 146 points on the week to 68.22 cents.
A smaller crush and lower soybean oil stocks tighten meal supply, while western Corn Belt rain delays harvest and limits bean deliveries to plants. Meal prices are likely to stay supported, with oil weaker.
