Morocco's OCP group said it could stop selling fertilizer in the US if a countervailing duty is imposed on its imports, and would redirect exports to other markets. OCP plans to challenge the petition, which was filed by Mosaic, and says its products receive no state subsidy.
If OCP exits the US, global phosphate supply would be redirected rather than lost, but US buyers could face tighter DAP and MAP availability and higher prices.
