Coronavirus hits already struggling US farmers with drop in prices

US farmers face further price declines in crops and livestock as the coronavirus pandemic disrupts markets. Farm groups are lobbying the Trump administration for financial aid and timely visas for seasonal Mexican farmworkers ahead of the April planting season.

Farmers say the virus has stopped their markets and added to earlier losses from the trade war, flooding and heat.
