Oil Price Information Service analyst Tom Kloza expects North American diesel prices to stay largely stable through spring planting. He says they could rise sharply later as shipping shifts to lower-sulfur fuel, which may add about four million barrels per day of diesel demand by late 2019.
Expected growth in marine diesel demand from the sulfur rules could push diesel prices higher later, raising feed logistics costs over the medium term.
