An Agri-Pulse analysis found that $23.6 billion in Coronavirus Food Assistance Program payments made in 2020 were concentrated among large operations and high-production regions. About 45,000 recipients received more than half the payments, and nearly 870 received at least $1 million.
The concentration of aid among large producers helps explain how farm cash was distributed, but it does not change current supply, demand or feed prices.
