FoodNavigator rounds up corporate strategies and policies aimed at reducing deforestation in food supply chains. It notes palm oil, soy, cocoa and coffee are most linked to deforestation and that maize is considered a growing contributor but is not yet covered by the EU rules.
Pressure to add maize to the EUDR could eventually bring corn exports into compliance scope, but no immediate price impact is evident from this roundup.
