Russian missiles hit a civilian container ship at a port in Ukraine's Odesa region, killing eight people according to local officials. It was the third attack on a civilian vessel in four days, and Russia targeted port infrastructure during a week of strikes on Black Sea ports.
Repeated strikes on Black Sea ports raise shipping risk and war-risk insurance costs, which can disrupt grain export flows and support wheat and corn prices.
