Argentina's grain industry will resume soybean and by-product exports after the government formalizes a permanent tax cut announced by President Milei, lowering soybean export duties to 26% from 33% and by-products to 24.5% from 31%. Exports had been largely halted since July 1 when a temporary tax cut expired, and sales declarations were virtually paralyzed.
Resumed Argentine exports of soybeans, meal and oil add competitive supply to world markets, pressuring soy complex prices. Lower export taxes also encourage farmers to release stored grain, increasing near-term selling pressure.
