USDA's Quarterly Stocks Report showed corn stocks of 1.532 billion bushels on September 1, well above trade expectations. Soybeans made fresh lows despite a slightly friendly report, while corn closed down about 6 cents.
Larger-than-expected corn supplies add to the bearish balance sheet and pressure futures, while feed and residual estimates remain a question that could lead USDA to revise demand lower.
