Malaysian palm oil futures fell to a 10-week low on Monday, closing down 3.37% at 4,182 ringgit per ton after China announced 34% retaliatory tariffs on US goods. Soyoil and crude oil also declined sharply, with Dalian and Chicago soyoil both lower.
Trade-war fears and weaker crude reduce palm's biodiesel appeal and edible oil demand, pressuring vegetable oil and meal-complex prices.
