The euro slipped to an 11-day low against the dollar on January 30 after German consumer inflation came in at 1.9% for January, slightly below the 2% forecast. The dollar index rose half a percent to above 101 amid the euro's decline.
A stronger dollar lowers the dollar value of US grain and oilseed exports priced in dollars, which can weigh on US futures, while a softer euro makes EU-origin feed relatively cheaper.
