Farm Progress reports the Mato Grosso soybean harvest is in full swing with yields averaging 47.5 bushels per acre, though rain has interrupted combines and about half the area remains unharvested. The farmer cites higher production costs and rising diesel, freight and tax costs that have pushed some small producers out.
