Nippon Export and Investment Insurance agreed to insure a long-term working-capital loan to Vicentin S.A.I.C., an Argentine oilseed crusher. The financing supports a Mitsui and Vicentin agreement to import 400,000 tons of oilseeds and soymeal from Argentina to Japan.
The deal supports Argentine crushing capacity and export flows of soy products to Japan, but the volume is small relative to global trade, so the price effect is limited.
