US authorities imposed anti-dumping duties on biodiesel imports from Indonesia and Argentina, and Malaysian crude palm oil prices have risen on tighter supplies after lower-than-expected summer output. Southeast Asian biodiesel offers were quoted at $710-760/tonne FOB.
The US duties are expected to cut biodiesel export demand for palm oil, which could erode the recent price gains that were driven by tight supply.
