COCERAL cut its EU 2017-18 total grain crop estimate slightly to 299.5 million tonnes from 300.3 million. The wheat forecast is 150.8 million tonnes, while barley fell to 58.1 million and corn to 59.2 million, and rapeseed rose to 22.1 million.
Lower EU corn and barley estimates tighten feed-grain supply in Europe and support prices for those grains, while the wheat estimate is little changed.
