The EIA Short-Term Energy Outlook reported RBOB gasoline futures rising 21 cents per gallon in October to $1.77/gal, with the ULSD futures price up 9 cents to $1.85/gal by November 2. EIA estimated October gasoline consumption at a record 9.3 million b/d while U.S. gasoline stocks fell below both September and year-earlier levels.
Lower U.S. gasoline and distillate stocks alongside record demand support higher diesel and fuel prices, which raise freight and fuel costs for feed mills and livestock operations.
