The Swine Health Information Center issued its first Swine Disease Global Surveillance Report, covering African swine fever, foot-and-mouth disease and classical swine fever. It flags an ASF outbreak in Belarus and a large ASF outbreak in Russia's Tyumen region near pig-dense areas of China.
ASF spreading toward China's large pig herd would raise demand for feed proteins and could shift global pork import needs, supporting hog and feed prices over time.
