Authorities reported new H5N8 outbreaks at commercial poultry farms in Iraq that killed 91,350 of 170,000 birds, with survivors culled. The Netherlands reported an H5 outbreak at a farm housing about 36,000 birds, and Vietnam reported its first H5N6 detection of the year.
Poultry losses are small relative to global supply, so the effect on feed demand and prices is limited. Continued spread could reduce poultry output and lower feed-grain demand in affected areas.
