Ukraine's Agrarian Policy Ministry reports a 2017 total grain harvest of 62 million tonnes. New port terminals for handling cereals are scheduled to be commissioned in 2018, including a large maritime investment project.
New export handling capacity could ease port bottlenecks and let more Ukrainian grain reach export markets. The effect on prices is limited and depends on how quickly the terminals start operating.
