La Nina continues to drive drought in central Argentina and the U.S. Southern Plains. Private and public estimates put Argentina's 2018 soybean crop at 40 to 45 million tonnes, roughly one-third below early January projections, with corn also declining.
A sharply smaller Argentine soybean crop tightens global soybean and meal supplies, supporting prices for soybeans, soymeal and soyoil.
