Indonesia published a revised Estate Crop Fund regulation, signed August 15, that widens the fund's ability to subsidize the price gap between biodiesel and petroleum diesel. The change follows a plan requiring 20% bio-content in all diesel from September.
Broader subsidies make biodiesel production more viable, increasing palm oil demand for domestic fuel and supporting palm and vegetable oil prices.
