Global oats production held roughly flat from 2011 to 2017, reaching about 23 million tonnes in 2017 according to an IndexBox market report. Russia, Canada and Australia are the largest producers, together accounting for 39% of output.
Stable global output and a flat harvested area point to no supply shock for oats, so the report gives little direct price signal for feed buyers.
