Feed grain prices in Alberta fell as producers rushed to sell downgraded wheat and barley after cold, wet weather slowed harvest in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Feed wheat bids were around C$230-235 per tonne and feed barley around C$235-240 per tonne.
A flood of lower-quality, high-moisture grain hitting the market is pressuring feed grain prices in Western Canada, giving feedlots cheaper buying opportunities in the near term.
