Record foodgrain production, procurement in 2018-19: Paswan

India's Food Minister said the country is estimated to achieve record foodgrain production and government procurement in fiscal 2018-19, citing a wheat output estimate of 997 lakh tonnes and rice output of 992.4 lakh tonnes. Procurement is also expected to rise, with wheat at 357.95 lakh tonnes.
