At the CattleFax Outlook Seminar in New Orleans, Creighton professor Art Douglas said El Niño will fade during the first half of 2019, turning the eastern US drier and making summer wetter in the southern US. CattleFax analyst Kevin Good expects cattle prices to stay strong but margins to compress, shifting leverage toward feedlots.
