GAPKI reviewed Indonesia's 2018 palm oil industry, reporting total palm oil exports rose 8% to 34.71 million tonnes. Biodiesel exports jumped 851% to 1.56 million tonnes after Indonesia won an EU anti-dumping case at the WTO.
Strong export growth, especially in biodiesel, signals firm external demand for Indonesian palm oil, which supports global palm prices.
