Bloomberg reports Chinese hog farmers are panicking as African swine fever spreads, with outbreaks confirmed on six farms in Hainan province on Sunday. The virus has now spread across virtually the entire country according to China's Agriculture Ministry.
Expanding herd losses cut Chinese hog feed demand and raise pork import needs, pressuring feed ingredients while supporting global pork and protein prices.
