Panama and the United States marked the 25th anniversary of COPEG, the joint screwworm eradication program based on sterile fly production. The program has invested $350 million over 25 years and is credited with about $2.5 billion in livestock savings.
Screwworm-free status supports livestock trade and cattle movement across the Americas. This is a background program update with little direct price effect.
