The USDA said it would resurvey farmers before the August 12 Crop Production report after confusing June acreage figures, with corn above and soybeans below expectations.
Heavy rain has halted planting or flooded some crops, and prevented planting is expected to rise.
Uncertainty over corn and soybean acreage and rising prevented planting point to tighter feed grain supplies, which supports feed prices. Analysts see a cattle price bottom supported by grain and meat demand.
