India's farm exports fell 10.6 percent in value terms in the first quarter of 2019 to Rs 28,910 crore. Non-basmati rice and pulses exports dropped by around 50 percent in volume, while basmati shipments were slightly lower.
Lower Indian non-basmati rice export volumes reduce global supply availability, which is mildly supportive for world rice prices.
