Staple grain shipments through Ukrainian seaports fell 50% to 728 thousand tons in the week of October 5-11 from the prior week. Wheat shipments nearly halved to 473 thousand tons, barley dropped to 20 thousand tons, and corn fell 33% to 236 thousand tons.
A sharp drop in port exports reduces near-term Black Sea supply, which is mildly supportive for wheat and corn prices, though the weekly swing is small in the broader trade.
