Staple grain shipments through Ukrainian seaports reached 1.87 million tons in the week of October 19-25, up 2.5 times from the prior week. Wheat shipments doubled to 814 thousand tons and corn exports rose to 934 thousand tons, while barley fell 31%.
Faster Black Sea export flows add competing supply for importers such as Turkey, Indonesia and China, which is mildly bearish for wheat and corn prices.
