LMC International chairman James Fry says CPO prices can keep rising if producer governments, notably through CPOPC, coordinate biodiesel mandate increases. Indonesia's B30 allocations for 2020 would lift its biodiesel demand to 8.5 million tonnes.
Fry also noted Thailand's biodiesel output has risen each year since 2017.
Expanding and coordinated biodiesel mandates add structural demand for palm oil, supporting the price uptrend as stocks decline.
