INTL FCStone estimates Brazil's first 2019/20 corn crop at 25.75 million tons, 3.4% below expectations, after Rio Grande do Sul's forecast fell 20% to 4.8 million tons due to hot, dry weather. FCStone also nudged its soybean forecast up to 121.76 million tons.
A smaller Brazilian corn crop reduces export competition and supports global corn prices, while the slightly higher soybean estimate is a modest offset.
