India's 2019 rice exports fell 18.1% from a year earlier to 9.87 million tons, the lowest since 2011. Demand from key Asian and African buyers moderated because of higher prices.
Reduced Indian exports lower the supply available to importers and reflect softer demand, which keeps global rice prices under pressure.
