Brazil's soybean industry asked for the biodiesel blend to rise from 12% to 14% at the June ANP auction. Abiove says the higher mandate would help crushers keep production up despite lower fuel demand from the pandemic.
A higher Brazilian biodiesel mandate would absorb more soyoil and support soybean crush and soymeal supply, but the request is not yet policy.
