The Iowa Soybean Association is urging the Iowa Legislature to pass House File 2279 or Senate File 2403 before the biodiesel and E15 fuel tax differentials expire on June 30. Iowa's B11-and-higher and E15-and-higher blends now make up a large share of sales.
Expiry of the tax differentials would raise pump prices for biofuel blends and reduce demand for soybean oil and corn, which would weigh on soybean and corn prices.
