Ukrainian producers have lost 92% of the domestic complex fertilizer market because they must import phosphorus and potassium raw materials, making their finished product more expensive. Complex fertilizers still arrive from Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Poland, Turkey, Morocco and other countries despite an embargo on Russian imports.
Import dependence and higher costs keep Ukrainian fertilizer demand tied to foreign supply, with limited direct effect on global feed commodity prices.
