Ukrainian sea port grain exports totalled 1.13 million tonnes in the second half of May, down from 2.02 million tonnes in the first two weeks of the month. Wheat shipments fell to 304,000 tonnes and corn to 802,000 tonnes, with China, Iran and the Netherlands as the main destinations.
A sharp drop in Ukrainian port shipments tightens near-term export availability for corn and wheat, though the season total remains well ahead of last year. The effect on world prices is modest.
