China buys U.S. soybeans after halt to U.S. purchases ordered: sources

Chinese state-owned firms bought at least three cargoes of US soybeans, totaling at least 180,000 tonnes, for shipment in October or November. The purchases came even though sources said Beijing had ordered a halt after Washington moved to end Hong Kong's special trade treatment.

重要性

Purchases for peak US export season support US soybean prices and export demand, but the conflicting halt order adds uncertainty about future buying. Traders will watch whether state buying continues.
