The winter crop planting campaign across the EU and US has concluded. Favourable October and November weather in Europe allowed timely sowing, but the European rapeseed area is expected to shrink after waterlogging, with many intended paddocks switched to cereals or left unsown.
Dry conditions in parts of the US are a concern for wheat.
A smaller European rapeseed area reduces oilseed supply and supports rapeseed-based meal prices. Dryness in US wheat areas could add modest upside risk if it persists into spring.
