The Farsul system projects Rio Grande do Sul's 2020/21 grain harvest at 33.9 million tons, up 28.4%, with soybeans rising 75.8% to 19.8 million tons. Corn is forecast to fall to 3 million tons after a second straight drought, while wheat is expected to rise 15.3%.
A sharp soybean recovery in southern Brazil adds to supply, while the corn shortfall in the state is too small to move national prices much and offers only modest support to regional feed grain demand.
