Conab's weekly crop monitor reports drought beginning to increase losses in the second corn crop in parts of the Midwest and Matopiba, with Goiás rainfed areas hurt by lack of rain and heat. Wheat planting reached 41.1% nationally under favorable conditions, and first-crop corn harvest reached 84.6%.
Second-crop corn losses tighten Brazilian feed corn supply and support prices, while favorable wheat planting adds to future wheat availability.
