A University of Kentucky extension article reports that the $900 billion COVID stimulus package includes $13 billion for agriculture and $13 billion for food assistance. USDA also announced CFAP 2.1 payments of up to $2.3 billion, with a third CFAP round planned for 2021.
Additional farm payments support producer cash flow and may slow forced selling, but the amounts are modest relative to the market and unlikely to move feed grain prices much.
