Argentina's government agreed not to raise agricultural export taxes or introduce grain export quotas, after talks with farm leader Jorge Chemes. The taxes remain at 33% on soybeans, 31% on soy oil and meal, and 12% on corn and wheat.
Removing the threat of higher export taxes or quotas keeps Argentine soymeal, soyoil and corn flowing to world buyers, which eases supply concerns and weighs on prices.
