The USDA's March 31 Grain Stocks and Planting Intentions report showed on-farm soybean stocks down 41.3%, and corn is up over 70% since August. Corn and soybean prices rose after the report, and lysine prices have followed.
Tight US soybean supplies and higher grain prices raise feed costs, pushing buyers toward amino acid additives. That supports lysine prices.
