Vilsack said Mexico's planned ban on GMO corn imports would apply to human food products, not livestock feed, following talks with Mexico's agriculture secretary. He added that the USTR has also raised the issue under USMCA processes.
A feed-corn exemption would limit the damage to US corn sales to Mexico, supporting export demand and prices.
