China's NDRC asked major state-owned fertilizer producers to suspend or curb exports of phosphate and urea. China shipped 3.2 million tonnes of DAP and 2.4 million tonnes of urea in the first half of 2021.
Mosaic said China is at least temporarily out of the export market.
China is the world's top phosphate exporter, so removing its supply during the seasonal demand peak sharply tightens global DAP and urea markets and supports prices.
