The China Agricultural Means of Production Association warned that phosphate export policies may tighten because domestic prices are rising. As of July 15, wholesale DAP and MAP prices were up 9.99% and 23.08% year on year.
China's DAP and MAP exports had already fallen sharply in January-May.
A likely tightening of Chinese phosphate export rules would cut an important global supply source and push international DAP prices higher, raising costs for feed and fertiliser buyers.
